Fuel & Tobacco Tax

The DeKalb County Commission has adopted a discount of 5% to wholesalers that purchase tobacco tax stamps from DeKalb County.  The attached form should be used when requesting stamps – including the 5% discount.  This discount will be afforded to all purchases of tobacco tax stamps effective February 1, 2012.

Please note that this discount is on a trial basis and will only be continued upon reimbursement of the costs of the discount by the State Department of Revenue – based on Code Section 40-25-23(2)(a).  If at such time the Department of Revenue ceases to or otherwise cannot continue reimbursement of the discount, it will no longer be passed down to Tobacco Wholesalers.
